I've heard Lindsey Davenport say numerous times she'd trade wta titles and time at #1 for more Grand Slams and I think all people capable of winning a Slam think this way. Pro tennis associations and the Slams have been in conflict for decades now, and will probably remain so. Keeping that in mind, no Serena probably should not be ranked #1 on the WTA Tour. How people who understand tennis reconcile who the best woman player in the world is another matter. Serena is the best female tennis player on the planet. Best service game and second serve in the history of women's tennis. No gutsier woman ever in Grand Slams, a due respect to Martina N.
